Occupation: Incumbent

Education & Qualifications:

I have greatly enjoyed my partial term in office. In addition to creating a
new, more representative council majority, I have been an active team player in
accomplishing the following:

	Recruiting a highly professional and responsive City Manager;
	Ensuring that innovative consensus builders were hired to initiate our land
use plan revision process;
	Taking advantage of every opportunity to learn more about city issues and
work with other elected officials and government agencies;
	Placing a high priority on needed public amenties such as median
landscaping, coastal trial extension, acquisition of parkland and bike lockers,
and the
  addition of community service officers;

With your support, I will pursue the following activities:

	Turning our new, more viable community vision into a new General Plan;
	Identifying and capitalizing on our Economic development opportunities;
	Continuing to stress the importance of improving our gateways.
	Implementing recommendations of our Police Department's recent Operations
review;
	Maintaining a vocal presence in forums which influence the County
Transportation Plan and transit services;

I am dedicated to working hard for our community and believe in open government
which encourages public input and debate. I've made concrete progress, and your
vote for me allows it to continue. Remember Cupp for Council!
