Occupation: Manufacturing Management

Education & Qualifications:

B.S. Degree in Production Management. Commissioned officer in U.S. Navy.
Seventeen years experience in fiscal responsibility and responsible management
for the Heublein manufacturing facility in Menlo Park as Plant Manager and VP
General Manager. Served on the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce Board with one
year as Treasurer. Served on the Executive Board of a Bay Area Employer's
Association which represents approximately 200 private and public sector
employers.

Menlo Park Fire Protection District has become one of the best emergency
response agencies in the country during my five years experience on the Board.
We have a paramedic on every fire engine, we have added a new fire station in
the Bell Haven district, we have upgraded four stations with seismic
restorations, and we provide the best overall emergency service in San Mateo
County. This has been done without the use of a tax assessment previously voted
in by the taxpayers.

If elected, I will strive to support Fire District initiatives which show
continuous improvement and fiscal responsibility while providing the district
with the best emergency response service available to everyone in the district.
