             Statement of JEFFREY S. BERNARDINI, Candidate for
                           Treasurer, Short Term
   Occupation: Legal Administrator
   Education and Qualifications:
   
   The City Treasurer position was created by the people of the City of
   Morgan Hill to have a person who is independent of the City to watch
   over its investments. This position is a safeguard against any
   improprieties that may occur. I am committed to making sure that all
   investments made for the city, that are overseen by the City
   Treasurer, are prudent and safe.
   
   My education is in business, paralegalism and leadership.
   
   For over twenty years I have watched Morgan Hill grow, as a resident
   of this area. It is my goal to make sure that the City of Morgan Hill
   will be in a strong financial position as we head into the 21st
   century. The position of City Treasurer is one way that I can
   contribute to this goal.
   
   Being a self employed entrepreneur in this community for twenty years,
   I have been responsible for overseeing budgets, investments, employees
   and all facets of business. I believe that this experience makes me a
   qualified candidate for this elected position.
   
   I have been with my wife for over 17 years and have two daughters
   growing up in this community.
