Los Altos has been a wonderful community for my family during our 26
years here. To preserve this for future generations, we need leaders
with intelligence and courage to plan ahead and solve problems, not
politicize them. I shall bring to the council a unique blend of
energy; positive, intelligent leadership; analytical skills; and broad
community experience:
* Helped establish Los Altos Education Foundation
* Volunteer for KLASS
* Vice chair, bond campaigns to rebuild high schools
* YMCA board
* Urged acquisition of St. William property; Citizen's Task Force
member planning recreation uses
* City Vision, and Bicycle Advisory Committees
* Scoutmaster, Troop 33
* Founding President, Los Altos Sister Cities.
My Goals:
* Maintain existing neighborhood character/density
* Cooperate with schools for mutual benefit
* Address neighborhood traffic concerns
* Improve parks and recreation facilities
* Actively oppose general and commercial aviation at Moffett
* Establish fire/medical emergency services oversight committee
* Develop long-range solution for Downtown parking
* Assure professionalism and quality service by city staff.
Endorsed "for skillful, intelligent leadership" by: Former Mayor Marge
Bruno; Former Los Altos Police Chief Brown Taylor; MV-LA High School
Board Trustee Judy Hannemann; Foothill College Dean, Emeritus, Dick
Henning.
