As a committed 17-year resident and candidate for City Council, my priorities
are to ensure that we have revenue to maintain and enhance public safety and
services, to build public and private partnerships and to preserve our
environment. I believe in the "greening of South San Francisco", increased
revenues and more open space. I want "transportation that moves you" which
means we must have mechanisms in place to prevent traffic gridlock as we
continue to grow and move into the new millennium.
I am a consensus builder whose strengths are identifying issues, assessing the
situation and finding viable solutions. I'm running for the City Council
because I have business and government experience and I believe I bring a fresh
perspective and sensitivity to the decision-making process. I will be visible,
accessible and accountable. I respectfully ask for your vote so that I may work
to provide prudent and sensible leadership that will maintain a balance between
business and residential concerns while promoting a thriving community in which
to work and live.
