Education & Qualifications:

I own a home and an expanding business in Foster City. This investment of my
time and money makes me totally committed to the economic and social health of
Foster City. My perfect attendance and voting record as a City Councilmember is
further evidence of that commitment. My goal is to make Foster City the best
possible place to work and live. As an employer I understand the importance of
education, housing, and safety for those who work in Foster City. I understand
property values are Foster City's principle source of revenue and always
consider the effect on property value when I vote on municipal and business
matters. My Navy Commanding Officer and Corporate Executive experience enabled
me to introduce Five Year Budget Planning in Foster City. This planning added
over $1,000,000 to Foster City's General Fund Reserves every year I have served
as a Councilmember. Other accomplishments include: rezoning land in Vintage
Park resulting in new Corporate Headquarters locating there; originating the
concept now being implemented for Shell Boulevard development; initiating plans
to dredge the lagoons; supporting improved fire and police services; and
assuring adequate funding for municipal services and recreation programs for
all Foster City residents.
