Statement of RONA R. COLLEGE, Candidate for
City Council Member, Short Term
Occupation: Homemaker
Age: 44
Education and Qualifications:
Morgan Hill is a community that is rapidly changing. These changes
toward the future need a strong foundation of a city government that
is consistently based on honest and impartial representation. This
representation cannot be achieved for all if it is hinged on undue
influence of special interest groups or personal political agendas.
Citizens are to rein in and control their government as well as hold
them accountable. This representation should not be hindered by an
attitude that the people are to be heard only at the benevolence of
their permission and preference.
The primary purpose and responsibility of civil government is to
protect and uphold the constitutional rights of all our citizens. It
is based on this purpose that I sincerely desire to serve the citizens
of Morgan Hill as your council representative. Our city has a
wonderful future if it is built on solid values and truths. With all
the diversity we have our common thread must be to have a city
government that we can trust to serve us all justly. We must deal with
all the issues that confront our citizens fairly and honestly. I am
committed to serve and respectfully ask for your vote.
