As a native San Carlan who attended San Carlos public schools, I have seen many
changes take place in our community. My goal on the council has been to respond
to the changing needs of our citizenry while maintaining the unique, small-town
atmosphere so valued by us all.

I believe the City has assisted in the revitalization of the downtown through
the facade beautification program and efforts to attract new restaurants have
been extremely successful. As we make the downtown more attractive and
inviting, we must improve parking and rear access to stores.

My immediate goals are to complete our grade separation projects in a timely
manner, break ground on the Youth Center and the Brittan/101 access and open
the new San Carlos library on schedule.

Highlands Park has provided valuable additional fields for youth sports and I
look forward to the completion of the park and improvement of all playing
fields.
