   Occupation: Governing Board Member, Cupertino School District
   Education and Qualifications:
   Sandy James has earned the reputation as a fair and honest elected
   official who has served and lived in the Cupertino community for over
   30 years:
     * President, Cupertino Union School District Board-member 8 years
     * Chaired Measure A, raising $71 million for improved school
       facilities
     * Vice Chair Cupertino Parks and Recreation Commission
     * DeAnza College Library Commission
     * Little League Board, Cupertino Rotary, Chamber of Commerce
       
   A Human Resources Consultant, Parent and Homeowner, Sandy supports:
     * Expanding our library and senior center
     * Responsible use of buildable land
     * Parks and open space to enhance our quality of life
     * Strong business for economic health
     * Building community partnerships
     * Re-visiting issues such as traffic volume and patterns
       
   As your representative on Cupertino City Council, Sandy James brings:
     * Established professional and mutually respectful relationships
       with Legislators, public officials, business and community members
     * Successful partnerships to manage limited public funds and provide
       better services for the community
