Education & Qualifications:

San Francisco State University, B.A.,M.A., Industrial Technology

I have had the honor of serving the citizens of San Mateo County as a Trustee
for the past eight years. I am strongly committed to serving a third term,
continuing to build a strong future for our Community colleges and our
community. I have had 41 years' experience in education in San Mateo County and
18 years' experience in city government in Millbrae, as City Councilman, Mayor
and Planning Commissioner.

I have enjoyed building close relationships with the students, faculty and
staff at Skyline College, Canada College and the College of San Mateo. I have
lived in Northern San Mateo County for 51 years, graduated from South San
Francisco High School and attended San Mateo Junior College (now CSM). With
your help, I look forward to continuing to serve this college system that was
so important to me as a young student.

During the next four years, we need firm, steady leadership as we face these
challenges: building up student enrollment, major maintenance requirements of
aging facilities, funding for new technology/computers, managing District
financing, and implementing newly developed Master Plan.

My record of experience, dedication and service makes me an exceptionally
qualified candidate. I would appreciate your vote. Thank you.
