Timothy E. Moran	Age: 55
Occupation: Retired Fire Captain and General Contractor

Education & Qualifications:

I attended Half Moon Bay High School and the College of San Mateo where I
completed 70 units of Advanced Fire Science, Emergency Medical Services, and
Fire Management Supervision.

I served as a volunteer firefighter in 1964, 1965. I was hired as a paid
firefighter in September 1965 and served the Half Moon Bay Fire District until
December 1996, when I retired as Captain. In May of 1997, I was appointed to
the Half Moon Bay Fire Board where I am currently serving as a director. As a
lifetime resident in Half Moon Bay and working here most of my adult life, I
feel my participation would benefit the District and the dedicated members
currently serving on the Board. Not only can I contribute continuity through my
knowledge of the operations of the Fire District, but also professional
business management experience. On a personal level, I feel this is an
opportunity to give back to the Coastside. I have been an active member of Half
Moon Bay business and volunteer communities for many years and feel a loyalty
and commitment to the Coastside and it's residents. As a Fire Board Member I
would hope to assist in providing the level of fire protection and emergency
services they have come to depend on.
