Statement of TONY SUDOL, Candidate for
Member, City Council
Occupation: Facilities Planner
Education and Qualifications:
I'm running for City Council to bring new ideas to our city's
direction. We're at a crossroads: what we decide over the next few
years will shape Gilroy's future. As a husband and father, I want for
my family what you do: safe streets, decent jobs and opportunities,
and a well-managed city with a secure financial future. As your
councilman, I'll work to:
* Improve public safety, a police department with strong leadership,
safer streets, and decent sidewalks in Gilroy
* Provide more activities for our kids so they don't fall prey to
gangs and drugs
* Improve the quality of life for everyone and create new job
opportunities throughout the community
* Work closely with the school district to improve our schools
* Better manage the growth in Gilroy, for better land planning, and
to insure our traffic problems don't worsen.
As a Senior Planner with Cisco Systems in San Jose, I deal with
complex planning issues and logistics. I'll use my experience and
education to do the same for Gilroy. I'll help the Council move
forward with making Gilroy an even better city to raise our kids. I
ask for your vote.
