Top Priorities if Elected |
- I support Derail the Trail & Surfrider with regard to the proposed Beach Trail, Seawall & Paved Beach Highway.
- Casa Romantica should be a Cultural/Art/ Wedding Center instead of a full-scale restaurant.
- Marblehead, I support a developer paid land use study for the entire parcel and not piecemeal studies. San Clemente needs a resort hotel.

Recently, the Redevelopment Agency of the city of San Clemente voted 3-2 to allow a full-scale restaurant usage at Casa Romantica.There has never been a feasibility study done to determine the success of a restaurant at this location, nor any parking or traffic studies. I oppose this plan. I have submitted a conceptual plan to turn Casa Romantica in a Cultural/Art/Wedding Center.

Recently, the city received a grant to build a "trail" from North Beach to the pier. When I first heard about this "trail," I thought it to be a natural pathway. However, upon learning more about it, I discovered that a seawall was to be constructed with a 12 foot wide lane on top. I oppose this plan.
- Marblehead Coastal Development

Recently, the city council voted to change the General Plan and allow the Lusk Company to construct 435 homes, an off-price shopping center, and a 21 screen theatre with 4500 parking spaces and a 4-5 level parking structure. We need to have a single land-use study for Marblehead Coastal instead of the piecemeal studies which have been done.
