Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Pinole

MY BALLOT STATEMENT

I am a seventeen year Pinole homeowner. My wife is an eighteen year Pinole business owner. My two children attend Stewart School and PVHS. I serve on the Planning Commission and have chaired the City's Blue Ribbon Committee.

Pinole's financial future is bright. Revenues are at an all time high due to the passage of Measure T and increased sales taxes. Pinole has started to improve the delivery of City services and with the completion of the Performance Audit it can only get better.

I promise all citizens of Pinole that before making any decision, I will scrutinize all recommendations and seek and consider all available facts. This, with the understanding that my job as Councilman is to serve the citizens and to give direction to the City Manager.

If elected, I will:

• Seek out all points of view and honor diversity.

• Maximize technology use to improve communication and efficiency.

• Implement performance based management.

• Maintain local control of City services.

• Build a Youth Center.

• Support our Senior Center.

• Preserve Pinole's semi-rural character.

• Increase general fund and equipment reserves.

• Improve park and street maintenance.

• Maintain my sense of humor.
