- Traffic & Mass Transportation
-
Traffic congestion is a problem that affects us all. The more time we spend in our cars, driving to and from work, the less time we have to spend with our families and friends. In addition to traffic congestion, the potential dangers of speeding and running stop signs are present on every neighborhood street. We need to work to ensure that we can make our traffic flow smoother in the city and move safer through our neighborhoods.
- Neighborhood Safety
-
Our neighborhoods deserve to be safe and healthy. We need to take a comprehensive and proactive approach to preventing crime, making our schools safe, and keeping our neighborhoods beautiful. This means more police on the beat, swift responses to crime, and more community involvement. Our goals should include working with police, schools, neighbors, and the City to create a detailed approach to maintaining safe neighborhoods.
- The Calpine Power Plant
-
The Mayor and City Council should stop the Calpine project as soon as possible. No feasibility study or environmental impact report will change the reality of the situation, The residents of South San Jose do not want a power plant in their backyards.
