MILITARY EXPERIENCE (1941-1954) Enrolled as Naval Midshipman, August 18, 1941; commissioned February 29, 1944. Combat servie on various ships and stations, command staffs, and major liaison posts with Marine Division and Army corps Headquarters during World War II, the short peace-time interval, and the Korean War. Admiral's Aide, fleet Admiral Nimitz staff, Gunnery and Engineering Officer - D.D.'s Command of Minesweeper, Senior Radiological Safety Officer at "Crossroads" A-bomb Tests at Bikini Atoll - 1946. PLans and Psychological Warfare Officer - Commander Naval Forces Far East, combat duty with First Marine Division. Two-year tour of duty in Japan. Retired for physical disability suffered during Korean War. Twelve decorations. LCDR, USN (retired) 12/31/53.
