Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Al Kildani

Candidate for
Republican Central Committee; Assembly District 12

This information is provided by the candidate

I am a proud conservative Republican in the mold of the great Ronald Reagan. As such the issues I will focus on as a member of the Republican Central Committee include: lowering taxes, minimizing regulatory burdens on small business owners, restoring constitutionally-guaranteed property rights to S.F. homeowners/landlords, reforming welfare to discourage reliance on funds from the City, and outreach to culturally conservative minorities such as Asian-Americans and Hispanic-Americans. None, I repeat none, of these issues have been properly emphasized by the existing leadership of the Republican Central Committee.

I believe that the Republican party in San Francisco will continue to shrink unless we draw clear lines of distinction with the Democrats. A liberal Republican party will not effectively attract new registrants. Why bother joining the minority party when you can easily consider yourself a conservative Democrat? Therefore we need to emphasize our differences. We cannot do that by supporting the policies and candidates of the opposing party.
