In addition to my three highlights, I will continue to work to protect the environment and open space, as well as the San Mateo Coast. I believe that our San Mateo coast and open space belong to everybody. It should be maintained and made more accessible for walking, hiking and bike riding as well as areas for horseback riding. Keeping coastal waters unpolluted, expanding walking, hiking, biking and equestrian trails and pressuring Cal Trans to provide bicycle lanes, which would provide safer access to these areas, as well as limiting growth are my main goals.
