Candidate for
Member, Board of Directors; Alameda County Water District

The current board of directors of Alameda County Water District lacks needed financial expertise. They are responsible for overseeing a $40 million annual operating budget and a $80 million capital projects budget. The board is also embarking on construction of a $16 million desalination plant.

Although there is good representation of engineering and water quality expertise on the board, they do not currently have sufficient financial experience to adequately oversee such large financial projects. As a certified public accountant specializing in local government finance, I will bring needed skills to the current board of directors.
