I have met the challenges.In 1996, I presented to you a list of accomplishments along with an agenda for new challenges that had to be met. I am delighted to say that, I have met those challenges. The merger with John Muir Medical Center is a complex and challenging endeavor which has preserved quality health care in our community and also ensured local control Part of the merger negotiated by the Mt.Diablo Health Care District Board, was the formation of the John Muir/Mt. Diablo Community Benefit Corporation which is the vehicle for distributing $1 MILLION ANNUALLY TO OUR COMMUNITY. OVER 70 GRANTS HAVE BEEN AWARDED TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS. I have the qualifications and a through understanding of the issues and will continue to protect the health interests of the citizens of our district.
