As your town council member I am committed to those programs which has made our community a wonderful safe place for families. I am also committed to the idea of continuous improvement, and I know that we can build upon that which has made us great and make it better. Danville has had a reputation of being the most aesthetically pleasing communities in the Bay Area; I would like to continue to work in this area by looking at the feasibility of making the Elthsworth property into a town park. As your town council member I would look into the different funding alternatives to fund such an ambitious project. I would also like to work to improve the parks that we have right by looking at the possibilities of installing soccer fields and baseball fields in the undeveloped acres at Oak park.
I am also committed to the idea of responsible and intelligent growth. I believe that when looking at development issues we should anticipate not only the short term affects upon the infrastructure of our town but we should also anticipate the affects ten to twenty years into the future. This idea of responsible growth also incorporates fiscal accountability. We need to evaluate the actions and decisions made by the town council and ask ourselves "is this the best possible use the citizens' money" if the answer is no then the money is best left with the citizen to use at their personal discretion. I believe in a government that works for the people and as your city council member my agenda is your agenda.
