As a life-long Eureka resident, a graduate of the Eureka High School class of 1980 and Humboldt State University class of 1986, I am committed to the betterment of our community. Having been involved in operating the family business, OH's Townhouse, for over 24 years, I bring a unique and practical appreciation for the local business community and its needs.

In addition to my business perspective, I bring a strong and vibrant record of community involvement. I am currently a member and past president of the Henderson Center Kiwanis Club and have also served as the president of the Humboldt Area Chapter of the California Restaurant Association and am a state board member of the California Restaurant Association. I serve on the board of directors of the Greater Eureka Chamber of Commerce. Responsible leadership and citizenry includes not just business affiliations, but charitable ones as well. That's why I am honored to be involved with the annual American Cancer Society's Relay for Life which is among the most worthy local causes. I also involve myself monthly in different community service projects such as cleaning up the streets and a portion of Highway 101, bowling in "Bowl for Kids Sake", ringing bells for the Salvation Army at Christmas time, etc. I believe true leadership means rolling up your sleeves and getting to work, while at the same time, doing thorough deliberations on all matters before making a decision.
