Member of the City Council; City of Palmdale; Unexpired Term Ending 11/06/01

Palmdale deserves a city council that supports the will of it's citizens and not the will of special interest groups.

We as citizens need to ask ourselves one question; why would a candidate spend thousands of dollars to win a city council seat which pays $600 per month.

Three candidates seeking this 1-year term sought funds under $99 so that names would not have to be reported. Why would a candidate need to raise money from 6 Los Angeles labor unions, L.A. political committee, L.A. lawyer, a committee from Irvine? Why would a candidate provide funds to the Palmdale Mayor?

The people of Palmdale have not achieved the growth potential that should have occurred. Our city has not grown in the directions to help people with economic or finaicial stability to remain in the valley. Far too many people have to travel "down below" for employment. Why?

At 19, I am attending AV College. I have the most recent knowledge of our schooling system. It has many faults. We are ignoring children and not promoting our valley as far as exceptional educational challenges. Things need to change.

As a candidate for Palmdale City Council, I promise that I will not accept PAC (Political action committee) money or any money from groups or special interests.

You can be assured that no one will be pulling my strings because there will be no strings attached. My vote and my work on the city council will be for the people of Palmdale not special interests.
