Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Bob Crossley

Candidate for
Mayor; City of Westminster

This information is provided by the candidate

I'm campaigning on these principles:

  • Safety is Westminster's first priority! For the period 1990 to 1998, Westminster had the second highest crime rate in Orange County. This situation should be the subject of an independent, indepth analysis and should dominate Westminster's agenda.

  • People, not politicians, own Westminster! As the owners of all public property, the people should vote on permanent changes to their property. The people should decide whether or not their property is to be used for a permanent memorial.

  • Infrastructure maintenance is fundamental! While Westminster's infrastructure deteriorates, millions of dollars are sitting idle. This money could and should be used for infrastructure maintenance; a dollar of maintenance today will save 4 dollars in repairs tomorrow.

  • Spend on "Needs" of the people, not "Desires" of politicians I don't believe the proposed $12 million Community Cultural Center is a "need". I don't believe a City Hall at the mall is a "need". Paved streets, a reliable water system, and attractive parks, are what I consider "needs".

I ask you to give me the opportunity to put my experience and these principles to work for you as your Mayor. Let's regain control of our city and stop the wasteful spending!
