I have had the privilege of serving as a trustee for the last four years and I must say I love my job. I have always wanted to be a teacher and I truly love children and education. They are one of the great passions of my life. I have held many positions within the district before coming to the board. I have served on integration, instructional and budget committees. I have been a member of the Presidents' Roundtable and served as its president. I have also held numerous PTA board positions at both the elementary and middle school levels including president for two terms at each level. I continue to be the legislative representative for Village View. In my time on the board I have continued to educate myself in order to be a better trustee. I have earned my Master of Boardship from the California School Boards Assoc., which required a two-year commitment to classes and extensive training and reading. I continue to attend workshops and conferences in order to stay current with the changes in education. I ask for your trust again on Election Day in the form of your vote, as I will continue to work for all the students of OVSD. |
