Educational Philosophy

I believe that the public schools are the last bastion of democracy in America. They are the microchosm of our way of life and, as such, must be protected and preserved. I believe it was Thomas Jefferson who argued that, in a democracy, the education of a child begins 100 years prior to that child entering school. The framework for our country's tomorrow is built in the classrooms of today.
