This is my official candidate statementDuring my term as your Mayor, major crime decreased by 35%. I am proud to be part of the leadership working to keep Laguna Niguel one of America's safest cities. Since you elected me four years ago, I have worked diligently to: Fight any attempt to develop an airport at El Toro. Promote sound fiscal planning, economic security and growth of jobs. Provide excellent facilities for our youth and seniors. Keep our city crime free. Preserve the beauty of Laguna Niguel. Provide the best educational opportunities for our young people. My husband Wayne and I are raising three children here. Our daughters attend local public schools and have participated in soccer and softball. I am past President of the Saddleback Valley American Cancer society, Executive Board Member of the Saddleback College Foundation and served 3 years on the Laguna Niguel Planning Commission, where I supported open space and increased recreational facilities. I earned my BS Degree from Colorado State University and hold a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Kansas, where I also taught. I am proud to be endorsed by Senator Bill Morrow, Assemblywoman Pat Bates and California State School Board Trustee Marian Bergeson. |
