Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Milpitas Unified School District

Debbie Eitner has been an active Milpitas resident for the past 12 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Psychology with graduate work in counseling. She is a middle school teacher, Girl Scout leader and active in her church in children's ministry. Debbie and her husband Bill have three children ages 16, 14 and 11, all have attended Milpitas Schools.

Debbie Eitner has been actively involved in community organizations in Milpitas since 1988. As a young mother she was one of the first members of Milpitas Moms and Tots. When her children started school, she became active in the PTA, school and district committees and worked to implement innovative classroom experiences for students. As a result of her participation at her children's schools and her passion for education, she re-entered the work force as a substitute teacher for the Milpitas Unified School District until her election to the Milpitas School Board in 1996. She continued to substitute in the Berryessa School District until her current position as a sixth grade teacher at Milpitas Christian School in San Jose. Debbie continues to be involved in the community as she begins her 16th year in Girl Scouting and active at her church, Mt. Olive Lutheran in Milpitas.
