 - Three years as Chair of the Planning Commission and the Atherton General Plan Committee.
 - Led the enactment of new laws on Landscape Screening, Outdoor Lighting, Noise and Nuisance Controls,  and Zoning Code Limits on house size.
 - 21 years of experience as a land use attorney in the Bay Area, including interaction with city officials and land use controls throughout California.
 - A career oriented around urban affairs, including experience as a municipal engineer, VISTA volunteer, and policy analyst on budgetary matters.
