Mission Statement

I am running on a reform platform that I call "Harborchange.com." I am supported by Ken Lundie, a sitting Harbor Commissioner who is tired of how things operate on the current Commission. I believe the current core of incumbents up for reelection this November should be replaced . They represent the heart of the 5 person Commission that has allowed the District to remain over $17 million in debt on their watch. Two of them are seeking a third term. I urge you to visit the harborchange.com website to review the positions on reforming this district into a valuable asset instead of the dire liability which it currently represents.

Briefly, I will help restore public trust in the District by opening the Commission meetings to the public via cable access television. I shall encourage appropriate revenue generating development without destroying the natural integrity of these potentially magnificent facilities. And, I shall work to end the unfair monopoly one developer "enjoys" over the District's Coastside holdings to the detriment of the Public interest.*

I am proud to be a Coastsider, and I would strive to represent you with thoughtful vision and leadership should you elect me to your San Mateo County Harbor Commission come this November 7, 2000.

Sincerely,

Leni Schultz, Reform Candidate SMCHD, 2000
