I am a retire business executive, age 67, married for 45 years with five grown children and 8+ grandchildren. Some current and recent activities in which I have engaged since returning to Sonoma Valley in 1990 are outlined below.

Sonoma Valley Hospital Volunteer, 1998 - present

- Affiliation Task Force member
- Citizen representative on the Negotiating Team for the Sutter agreement
- Member of the Executive Committee overseeing the affiliation process
- Strategic Planning Advisory Council member advising the Hospital Board
- Member of the Public Information & Marketing Committee
- Speakers Bureau member

Other community activities:

- Sonoma Valley Citizens Advisory Commission, 1993 - 2000, served as co-chair and chair during the Commission's first two years
- Director and founding member of the Sonoma Valley Economic Development Assoc.
- SCORE Business Counseling Volunteer, 1992 - 1996
- Advisory Board, Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, 1999 - present
- Community Advisory Board, American Center For Wine Food & The Arts, Napa Valley, 1995 - present

During my working career, I held a number of positions starting as a Research Chemist and progressing to Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, Operations Manager, Division Vice-President and Group Vice-President. The companies for which I worked were Monsanto Chemical Co., Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Co. and The Weyerhaeuser Co.

Prior to retiring, I was responsible for a group of businesses at Weyerhaeuser with annual sales of $750 million with 50 operations world wide and employing 4500 people.

I was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Arizona with BS and MS degrees in Chemistry.
