Political Philosophy for Bill Reed

Peace*Prosperity*Freedom*Justice*Tolerance For a New Tomorrow Hello, My name is Bill Reed and I'm running for congress. All too often, people are resigned to accepting the same old politics every two years. In response, many give up voting altogether. I understand. I've felt the same way myself. Resisting the temptation to "give in and give up", I decided to do something about it. I became active in the Libertarian Party, an organization beholden to no special interest group and dedicated to the Constitution, Bill of Rights and our American heritage of liberty. Energized, I decided to run for State Assembly in the 66th district because I believed a voice needed to be heard which did not represent the same old politics we have all grown tired of. Now, I find myself in an exciting run for congress against a four term incumbent. I am dedicated to being a voice for you...one that calls for an America which respects honest work, applauds innovation, defends our Constitution, encourages self-sufficiency and rejects the divisive politics of victimization, plunder, blame and dependency. I am asking that you not "give in and give up". A new day awaits those who stand up and say "we deserve better!" If you believe in my vision...if you believe I can honestly represent YOUR voice in Washington DC...if you believe that politicians should give power back to the citizens instead of taking it, then I ask for your very important support. We can only succeed if we all join together. Are you going to keep waiting endlessly for politicians to "reform" themselves, or will you act now? I'm confident in your answer. I ask for your vote on November 7. Yours for a new tomorrow, ~Bill Reed |
