BIO

Born October 9, 1949 in Los Angeles, California, I, Dr. Addie Mae Miller respect the facts that I am Non-Partisan (I am not affiliated with nor am I obligated to any political party), from early childhood I attended the City of Los Angeles local schools and I am recipient of a Honorary Doctorate Degree of Divinity and Doctorate Degree in Humanities.

First of all, I would like to share with you my paramount philosophy: I am a Human Being, I am a breathing in and out living organism, I was born of love, I was born to a union of two people, and I am a child of the Creator, and I am a member of the Universe and I have the right to be here.

My strongest attributes are, I care about people and I have the ability to fully understand another's feelings and experiences. My late father owned and operated a textile business for 36 years and I remember my beloved father's 40+ employees were always happy and my father on many occasions would put the needs of his employees 1st.

I am an advocate, community worker and a product of the City of Los Angeles. There are many services I have performed and accomplished by helping people throughout the years for the Creator of this world and the Creator of this world's people.

I have shared of myself of who I am for 20 years throughout the greater Los Angeles area, regarding my experiences in life, my strength, my hopes and my vision. I am an exceedingly active speaker and lecturer and this is my line of service for the City of Los Angeles.

My lectures and speeches have influenced and helped many people over the years, people of all ages, regardless of race, creed or color.

Also, the LAPD Clergy Council has assisted families with clothing and food while experiencing a crisis. The LAPD clergy council have delivered Thanksgiving food baskets to victims of domestic violence. They donated toys for distribution to the community and they have sponsored many to make it possible for them to attend different recreational activities. I cannot measure how much I have done or how little. The facts are, I have given of myself for the city of Los Angeles and to the people, to the best of my ability in sharing those things that I have been taught and that being a 'positive way of living'.

Addie Mae Miller was born October 9th, 1949, in Los Angeles and is not affiliated with a political party. She attended public schools and is the recipient of honorary doctorate degrees in humanities and divinity.

She is an advocator and a community worker and she volunteers as an active member of the Los Angeles Police Department Clergy Council.

She has been a speaker and lecturer for more than 20 years.

She lists the three main issues facing the mayor as accountability; allowing the public to be heard and following up with their requests; and listening to those who oppose certain developments placed in their communities.

She believes the public wants answers and their issues resolved.

Miller says she knows and accepts the fact that as mayor she would be a public servant and that the people would be her employers.

She pledges to be faithful and accountable to the citizens and that "there will be no more backdoor deals at City Hall."

Miller says voters should vote for her because she is "highly committed to servicing the people, highly qualified, and has a better understanding of the needs of the people of all communities in the city."
