There is a critical need for more open communication with the community.
• The current 24-hour notification policy being considered by the board is the type of policy that places unnecessary barriers between the community and the school board. Coupled with the lack of an RUSD School Board office space where board members can meet with community members fosters the perception of distance. I am committed to increasing opportunities for communication with the community we serve.
