Political Philosophy for Jim Burch

When I asked for your vote two years ago, I promised to commit my full time and experience to Palo Alto issues. As a councilmember I've been doing just that, spending an average of 40-50 hours each week on City business. In addition to Council meetings, I serve as a liaison or member on these Boards, Commissions and organizations:
Here's what I've learned: The services offered to our residents are far superior and more extensive than almost any other city. There are literally hundreds of dedicated volunteers involved in providing these services. The City of Palo Alto is blessed with an outstanding, professional staff. Palo Alto also has many needs, many excellent new projects, and more work to be done than money to do it with. But we're gaining on it and I hope to continue to speak out for a Palo Alto that is worthy of all its citizens. |
