Keeping the Public Trust / Customer Service

By John P. Carcione

Candidate for Board Member; West Bay Sanitary District

This information is provided by the candidate
As a public agency, we are here to serve the public. Every interaction between all members of the West Bay Sanitary District and our paying customers should exemplify and demonstrate to the public the professional pride we all share in providing our services.
The West Bay Sanitary District must always strive to provide the best service possible to our paying customers.

Our employees take great pride in the work and services they provide and this pride should always be fostered and supported by the District Board.

The District's surveys of its customers clearly show that our customer service program is working and that our customers are happy. In our random and ongoing customer survey, 95% (450 / 473 = 95.1%) of our customers responded that the services our public agency provides have been either excellent or above average. I consider this to be a remarkable result given that local government rarely receives this kind of complimentary feedback.

Further, interacting with and engaging the public in the District's issues is of paramount importance. The Board Directors have been entrusted with a duty to represent and work for the public they have been elected to represent. The Directors must seek the public's involvement and input in the issues which affect them.
