This information is provided by the candidate

My past involvement in San Bruno politics has shown that I strongly encourage citizen involvement in local issues. As such, my main philosophy is to:

1) Promote Openness in Government

By providing additional opportunities for citizens to be involved there will be more information available to the public and more input for the City Council to make sound decisions that reflect the priorities of the public.

2) Encourage Long-Term Planning and a Vision for San Bruno

Without a long-term vision, San Bruno will continue to limp along haphazardly with no clear direction. Developments will be approved and encouraged that are not consistent with the long-term benefit of our community. We need to set priorities and stick with them. That is not to say that priorities cannot change over time, but it is better for everyone to know where we are headed than to have to always be guessing.

3) Sound use of our Resources

With my involvement with Government I know how to motivate government employees. Simply raising taxes to cover added costs is not always the best way to fund government. We need to look at efficiencies. By providing a clear vision for the future, employees understand the priorities and will work to accomplish them. Everyone likes to have a sense of direction and accomplishment and will work to support a good leader.

I CAN PROVIDE THAT LEADERSHIP!!
