United means working together. As a group, the Republican council candidates feel that bi-partisanship and teamwork are sorely lacking from council floor. Many residents have felt that way, as have I. I have found that grandstanding is slowing down the legislative process. Council meetings are for decision-making, not a place for rhetoric. Progress can mean many things, but our meaning behind progress is moving forward. Moving forward to continue to improve our parks and playgrounds. Moving forward to grow our business base. Moving forward to improve our property values. "United for Progress" means everyone can participate. |
