Ms. Hartman is an environmental engineer with over 25 years experience in consulting and management. She founded and ran a mid-sized consulting firm and has managed multi-million dollar projects for both government and private-sector clients, conducting projects such as treating PCB-contaminated soil at the U.S. Navy Base in Guam, and studying the impact of various treatment and storage techniques for waste oils. She has 8 years experience on Evendale Council, and 12 years experience on Evendale committees. Currently she chairs the Hiring Committee and the Police Committee; she is Vice-Chair of the Community Improvement Corporation (CIC). She is very active in regional planning initiatives including the Mill Creek Watershed Council, Sustainable Cincinnati Project, the Smart Growth Coalition, the Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission Comprehensive Plan and Strategy (COMPASS), Citizens for Civic Renewal, and the Hamilton County Environmental Action Commission. She is active with the Cincinnati Nature Center and volunteers as an educator at the Gorman Heritage Farm. She serves on four boards and is a frequent speaker at local and regional seminars and workshops addressing regional planning and environmental issues.
