Desley is currently Chief of Staff to Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson. Desley has developed innovative community building initiatives, secured millions in funding for local organizations, and served thousands of constituents.
Previously, Desley was a top attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Desley's award-winning community contributions include membership on the Board of Directors of Girls' Inc., Panel Member for the City of Oakland Head Start Advisory Panel, as well as serving as a Commissioner on the City of Oakland's Cultural Affairs Commission. She was advocate for violence prevention and programs for youth.
