(Additional Information on the Education, Experience and Community Involvement of Jean M. Dandona)Detailed Bio of Jean M. Dandona Jean M. Dandona has been a resident of Santa Barbara County since 1965. She obtained her undergraduate degree (honors) and a secondary teaching credential from UCSB. She graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1978. While there, she was admitted to the Order of the Coif, which is open to the top 10% of each graduating class. She was a civil litigation and trial lawyer for 20 years, and ran her own practice for ten of those years, during which she also frequently served as a court-appointed arbitrator. She gained experience in both jury and court trials in almost all areas of civil litigation, including business, personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, professional liability, real property, contract, and telecommunications. She currently works for the Court as Supervising Research Attorney, where she performs complex legal research, analyzes pleadings and evidence in court cases, applies statutory and case law to legal issues, and makes recommendations to the judges. Jean M. Dandona has served as a member of the City of Carpinteria Community Services Commission/Citizens Advisory Board; a member of the American Cancer Society Board; President of her homeowners association; and a Mock Trial Judge.
