My wife, Patricia and I are Stanislaus County natives. I am a graduate of Modesto High School, MJC, and UC Berkeley with a degree in Economics. I am a US Navy Viet Nam veteran. I am a cancer survivor. I have been a community activist for over 30 years. In 1974 I worked with many volunteers to establish the first free weekly curbside recycling program in the United States. Right here in Modesto! Through the 1980's to today I have promoted community involvement in landuse practices and transportation improvement and pedestrian safety. Often I speak before the Modesto City Council regarding these issues. I advocate personal responsibility and community participation. I love gardening and music.
