Apply for Redevelopment funds to construct a six-story business building and a four-story housing building.The six-story Professional building North of the BART terminal with a walkway bridge directly into the terminal from the third floor. Its three-story parking lot to be west of the building with access from Canal Street to reduce congestion on Bailey Rd. The top floor reserved for an upscale restaurant. The third, fourth and fifth floors reserved for professional offices for lawyers, dentists, doctors, consultants, initial contact offices for local businesses, etc. First and second floors reserved for an upscale merchandise store like Macy's, Nordstrom, etc. Room will be reserved for second tower with a department store in its first and second floors. The four-story building will be dedicated to moderately priced apartments. Room will be reserved for another two buildings that will share parking lots. The apartments will be designed for staff of the industry north of Willow Pass. Addiitonal and more affordable buildings will be build as needed. These buildings will be along Bailey Rd, from Highway 4 to Willow Pass Rd. |
