Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Black Oak Mine Unified School District; Trustee Area 1

Our love for beautiful countryside and good neighbors brought us to the "Divide" nine years ago. My husband Lewis and I have three sons, grades third, seventh and tenth ,in the Black Oak Mine Unified School District. I received my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, then completed my Masters'Degree in Counselor Education from California State University, Sacramento. I just began my 16th year as a High School Guidance Counselor.

My love for education does not end with my job. I currently serve as the President of the Black Oak Mine Unified School District's Board of Education. During this last term I learned a great deal from our Superintendent, fellow board members, employees of the district, as well as the families and community members. Our focus has been one of fiscal responsibility while providing the best education possible.

While many goals have been accomplished, I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead. In securing this four-year term to the Board of Trustees, I will continue by dedication and commitment to the families and community of the Black Oak Mine Unified School district. Your vote will allow me to continue to represent you in this very important position.
