The City puts out a brochure entitled "Your City Government". Essentially the role the Council is the creation of city policies and ordinances.The purpose of our policies and ordinances is to serve our community. These ordinances and policies need to be reviewed to insure that they meet our needs today. The current Council and Councils of the past have never acted to systematically review these policies and ordinances. Do you know that your city council members can not unilaterally place an item on the city council agenda without the City Managers consent and agreement? Does that make sense to you? It doesn`t to me. |
