Statement on the war:
ABEL MOUTON WILL FIGHT FOR CITY COLLEGE TO GO ON RECORD AGAINST THE WAR, FOR SHIFTING WAR MONEY TO EDUCATION BUDGETS, FOR UNRESTRICTED EXERCISE FREEDOM OF SPEECH FOR THOSE OPPOSED TO WAR, AND FOR THE UNCONDITIONAL DEFENSE OF IMMIGRANTS AND PEOPLE OF COLOR PROFILED AND HARASSED BY BUSH AND ATTORNEY GENERAL ASHCROFT.
Open letter to the Students, Faculty, and Staff of City College:
My main qualifications are my platform, and the fact that as a democratic socialist, I am not beholden to the Democratic Party political machine. This gives me the independence to actually say what I think and try to carry out what really needs to be done.
