BIO Alexandra Pastine works with school districts and public agencies across the country to help mold and implement construction and infrastructure plans that are effective and efficient while maintaining the lowest possible cost. Her consultation with public employees and local personnel allow her to help create the largest possible return for the community.

Alexandra will receive her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Berkley in December 2002. To achieve this goal she has been attending evening classes for the last 2 years while maintaining her full-time job helping public municipalities to operate efficiently thus saving scarce tax payer money. Alexandra previously earned a Bachelors of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering at University of Maryland, College Park in December 1996 and in 1996 Alexandra worked as an engineer in the Czech Republic before finding her calling with her current company.

EXPERIENCE In addition to her professional pursuits, Alexandra is an active and enthusiastic member of the San Francisco community and currently lives in the Pacific Heights area. When not working or furthering her education, you will find Alexandra biking, hiking or swimming while enjoying the natural gifts of the bay area. Constantly seeking out new challenges, Alexandra has completed the Alcatraz swim, successfully summitted Mt. Kiliminjaro and, as a certified SCUBA diver, has explored the oceans on both coasts of the United States.

Alexandra will put her hard earned experience to work as a member of the San Francisco Board of Education by focusing on facilities contracting. Effective and efficient policy will help to build and repair schools while freeing up surplus dollars for educational programs, resource classes, music, art, sports, wellness centers and other programs that will strengthen our schools and our communities.

Alexandra has worked closely with over 20 different institutions and helped them to efficiently issue over $250 million in cost effective contracts. Some of these clients are:
