- Occupation: Criminal Prosecutor
 - Enlisted United States Air Force in 1972.  After graduating college and law school, returned to active duty as a Captain in JAG Department.
 - Graduate- University of Southern California (Psychology Degree), Graduate- Southwestern University School of Law, Los Angeles (Juris Doctor Degree)
 - Actively practice civil law through US Air Force "Legal Assistance" program for retired, active duty personnel.  Exposed to contract & environment law
 - Began career as S.L.O. Deputy District Attorney in 1984.  Continued to serve in USAF as JAG reservist.  Currently holds rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
 - 1988 - Led prosecution effort in conviction of Dennis Duane Webb for murders of John and Lori Rainwater of Atascadero.
 - 2001- Led prosecution effort in conviction of Rex Allan Krebs for kidnap and murder of two local college coeds.

Top Priorities if Elected |   
- Increase safety of court officers, jurors, and courtroom visitors by instituting heightened security measures.
 - Save county money by modifying the public defender programs to guarantee only the needy receive free legal services.
 - Employ multi-departmental approach (as done in other counties) by having Probation Department personnel present when defendants are sentenced.
