I am a 15 year resident of Moorpark, married to Dale, and mother of two (Dale Jr. and Tamie), grandmother of two (Alexandra 5 years, and Jacob 4 years). I have strong family ties and am committed to maintaining our family friendly environment. My friends describe me as a reasonable person, extremely motivated and hardworking. I describe myself as a person who looks at the big picture, listens to opposing view points, and determines the most logical business decision. I am a leader with sound judgment and can get the job done. I am a business woman, a community leader, but most importantly I am a volunteer. I live what I believe. As a Moorpark volunteer my involvement includes The Boys & Girls Club; American Cancer Society's Relay for Life; Boy Scouts of America; Rotary Club Civil War Reenactment; Moorpark Historical Society; various food drives for our local food pantry; and Catch a Star program. This year I was recognized the the California State Assembly with the "Outstanding Public Service Award." The Moorpark Chamber honored me with the "Service to Community" award. In May I was recognized by the Daily News as a "Fund Raiser Extraordinaire." I received acknowledgement for doing things I truly enjoy, helping others. This is why I have placed my name on the ballot. I care deeply about Moorpark and I want to preserve and proteck our quality of life. I will work very hard if you give me the opportunity of serving on your City Council. I feel fortunate to live in a city that values families, preserves open space, and is among the safest cities in the nation. As your next City Councilwoman, I will work tirelessly to protect our quality of life here in Moorpark. I would sincerely appreciate your vote. |
