Steve McShane is the Senior Field Representative for State Senator Bruce McPherson and is responsible for his Salinas District Office.

Steve has worked with the Senator five years as both a legislative aide and a field representative. Steve also served the Senator as Deputy Campaign Manager in his bid for Lieutenant Governor in 2002.

During his education, Steve has taken classes at four community colleges. He is a graduate from Cal Poly, SLO with a Soil Science Degree and has his Agribusiness MBA from Santa Clara University.

Steve currently serves on the board for Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley and Habitat for Humanity of Monterey County. Steve is also a member of the Salinas Steinbeck Rotary, Salinas Jaycees, Salinas Police Community Advisory Committee and Central Coast Young Farmers and Ranchers.

When not working, Steve can be found running, traveling or growing exotic fruit in his backyard.
